Announcement: Organizational Changes from SDPPI to DJID Affecting Certification Lead Time

As of 2025, the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital (KOMDIGI) has officially restructured its certification authority. The former SDPPI (Directorate General of Post and Telecommunication Devices) has now transitioned into the DJID (Directorate General of Digital Infrastructure).

This change not only reflects a broader focus on digital infrastructure but also affects the internal processing system for device certification submissions through Komdigi.

What’s Changing?

  1. Authority Name and Structure
  • Before: SDPPI (Direktorat Jenderal Sumber Daya dan Perangkat Pos dan Informatika)
  • Now: DJID (Direktorat Jenderal Infrastruktur Digital)

This rebranding aligns with Indonesia’s digital transformation agenda and centralizes regulatory oversight under KOMDIGI.

  1. Lead Time for Certification
  • Previous average processing time: 3–4 working days
  • Current estimated processing time: Up to 5-7 working days
(May vary depending on application queue and document completeness)
  1. Certificate Name and Logo Updated

All new certificates issued under DJID certification will:

  • Display the new DJID logo
  • Display the new format of the certificate name of DJID

Existing certificates issued under SDPPI remain valid and legally recognized until expiry, but future renewals will use DJID formatting.

If you’re submitting device certification through KOMDIGI, please plan accordingly for the longer lead time. Ensuring complete documentation and early submission will help minimize delays during this transition period.
