On November 13, 2024, the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia officially enacted Minister of Industry Regulation No. 75 of 2024 concerning the Mandatory Implementation of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for Audio Video Products. The audio video products required to meet this SNI standard include both domestically produced and imported products marketed throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.
This regulation aims to ensure that audio video products circulating in Indonesia comply with applicable safety and quality standards, specifically SNI IEC 62368-1:2014.
Audio Video Products Required to Meet SNI
Below is a list of audio video products that must comply with the SNI standard according to this regulation:
1. Television Sets
- Types: Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) with a maximum screen size of 55 inches.
- Excludes: OLED, QLED, QNED, and Mini LED televisions.
- Harmonized System (HS) Codes:
- 8528.72.91
- ex. 8528.72.92
- ex. 8528.72.99
2. Disc Players (DVD and Blu-Ray)
- Includes: Standalone DVD and Blu-Ray players, as well as their combinations (not part of other products).
- HS Codes:
- ex. 8521.90.19
- ex. 8521.90.99
3. Car Tapes (Car Head Units)
- Includes: Cassette players, optical disc players, and other digital audio video formats.
- Excludes: Car tapes that are part of completely imported vehicles.
- HS Codes:

4. Active Speakers
- Standalone units (not part of other products).
- HS Codes:
- ex. 8518.21.10
- ex. 8518.21.90
- ex. 8518.22.10

5. Set Top Boxes for Televisions
- Includes: Digital receivers for satellite, terrestrial, and cable systems.

Mandatory Compliance
With the enactment of Minister of Industry Regulation No. 75 of 2024, all stakeholders, including local manufacturers and importers, must ensure that their audio video products comply with SNI IEC 62368-1:2014.
