Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers

We help businesses navigate product certification, regulatory requirements, and technical compliance across telecommunication, industrial, consumer, and healthcare sectors in Indonesia.

What is DJID certification, and why is it required for devices in Indonesia?

What Is DJID Certification?

The Indonesian Directorate General of Infrastructure and Digital (DJID) issues DJID certification as official approval for eligible devices. Telecommunication and electronic devices that use radio frequencies or connect to public networks must obtain this certification before entering the Indonesian market.

DJID certification confirms that imported and locally manufactured devices meet national technical standards for safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and radio frequency usage. Manufacturers and importers who obtain this certification demonstrate regulatory compliance, gain market access, and build consumer trust.

What type of testing is required for my device to apply for DJID certification?

What Tests Does Your Device Need?

Your device's features determine the type of testing it needs. Devices with radio frequency features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or cellular connectivity may require RF, EMC, and possibly SAR testing. Depending on the electrical components and associated risks, some devices may also need Safety testing.

Once you provide the product datasheet and user manual, our engineering team will identify the appropriate test requirements. Some products may qualify for document-based evaluations, while others require full testing at a local laboratory.

How many samples are required for local testing?

How Many Samples Do You Need?

We generally require at least two samples for local testing. Our engineers use one sample for radiated testing and another for conducted testing. Your product may need additional samples if it also requires Safety or SAR testing.

Make sure every sample works properly and supports its regular operating modes. We also recommend preparing spare units in case a sample fails or suffers damage during testing.

How long does the DJID certification process usually take?

How Long Does DJID Certification Take?

The DJID certification process usually takes around 4 to 6 weeks after you provide all required documents and samples. This timeline covers the local testing queue, test report preparation, document review, and certificate approval.

However, several factors can affect the actual timeline, including laboratory availability, public holidays, technical issues, and document completeness. Experienced consultants like Cerapproval can help you manage these requirements and minimize potential delays.

How to Create an ID Izin for DJID Certification?

How Do You Create an ID Izin?

Start by creating an ID Izin through the OSS (Online Single Submission) system at ui-login.oss.go.id. Select “PB-UMKU – New Application”, search for the applicable KBLI related to your device, and apply for the UMKU Business License.

Next, select “Certificate for Telecommunication Equipment and/or Devices”. Complete the listed requirements to access the E-Certification / SDPPI system. Before uploading technical documents, check that your ID Izin appears in the “Checklist Data” menu.

What's the first step to start the DJID certification process?

How Can You Start the DJID Certification Process?

Start by sending your product specifications or product name to gma@cerapproval.com via email or contact us on WhatsApp at +62 899-3300-033.

Our team will provide a free preliminary evaluation to determine whether your product needs DJID / SDPPI, SNI, or other certifications. We will also guide you through the required documents and testing to help you complete the process smoothly and efficiently.
