January 18, 2024 – BBPPT held another socialization and technical guidance on January 18, 2024 at Avenzel Hotel Cibubur. The event went smoothly and was attended by many participants both offline and online.
TELECOMMUNICATION DEVICE TESTING SERVICES BY BBPPT
During the socialization, BBPPT explained about the guidelines for testing telecommunication devices and/or equipment. For testing, BBPPT explained that there are 2 testing services that can be carried out, namely laboratory testing (in house test) and field testing (on site).
In the testing flow of both laboratory testing (in house test) and field testing (on site), verification of functions has now been eliminated which aims to reduce costs incurred and also speed up the testing process. Instead, applicants are given 10 days to reset test items or 5 days to repair/replace test items.
With function verification eliminated during testing, the technician team aims to provide prompt assistance both offline and online to address any issues that may arise immediately.

BBPPT has reduced testing time from 17 working days by categorizing it into clusters based on telecommunications equipment/device functions.
SIMPLE INTEGRATION WITH NEXT GEN CERTIFICATION
SIMPEL and Next Gen Certification integrate to create a one-stop service, streamlining the SDPPI certification process. Applicants simply open the Next Gen Certification app, click ‘Yes’ on ‘Select data from BBPPT,’ and all previously filled data will auto-populate, simplifying the application process. So, the applicant only needs to complete the data that has not been filled in.
SAR TESTING PLAN
SAR testing, initially set for December 1, 2023, is postponed due to ongoing evaluation and lab preparation. Until now, an exact date has not been determined regarding SAR testing at BBPPT. For SAR feature testing, it is planned that there will be a 15 working day testing cluster.
